‘The Hobbit’ Film Review

Anticipation for The Hobbit was at an all time high for those of us who have been waiting since 2003 when the last Lord Of The Rings film was released.

The first of The Hobbit’s three films hit theaters on December 14th.  The film follows Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) who is drawn into a quest to take back the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was conquered by a dragon named Smaug years before.

The wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) approaches Bilbo and asks him to join a group of 13 dwarves, led by warrior Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armtiage). From here begins the dramatic adventure that brings back characters from the previous trilogy such as Frodo Baggins, Gladriel, and Gollum.

Director Peter Jackson does an amazing job at bringing The Hobbit to life. Blair Stover highly recommends seeing the film and cannot wait for the next film in the trilogy to be released.
