Iron Man has become one of the best comic book movies ever made. The first part inspired the masses and the second part attracted the cinematic. Now the third installment of the Iron Man saga has been announced for 2013 and it looks to make box office history.
The story behind the alcohol and the woman savvy genius “Tony Stark” heads into the third round. But where will it take us? Pre-production has started, which means that the era of Iron Man is in fact going to be a trilogy. In the first part, the fans saw weapons developer Tony Stark become Iron Man. In captivity, he developed the robotic battle suit to help him facilitate his escape. Back at home in its production, he refined and perfected it only to finally fight his former mentor.
In Iron Man 2, it was Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell who wanted the steely hero to perish. But he had to struggle with himself and his fame after his public “coming-out” as “Iron Man”.
Since the first two parts had a production budget of $340 million dollars combined, you can expect this movie to really blow the top off production costs. But you can also expect this movie to break some box office records. The first two movies pulled in more than $1.2 billion in revenue.
It still remains to be seen just how the third part of the Marvel hero fits into the scheme of things but you can expect more explosions and bad guys and more storylines which is exactly what the people want. Every fan loves a great explosion as the next, but if there is no story to it then it just becomes another flop.
Any ideas on who the villain will be in this next installment?
